Making a difference... everyday for the people of the Inland Burnett
BIEDO is the Burnett Inland Economic Development Organisation. We are a fully independent, not-for-profit organisation servicing the Inland Burnett - from Blackbutt in the south, to Monto in the North, Durong in the west and Goomeri in the east. Since 2000, BIEDO has secured more than $20 million in grants that have been injected straight into the Inland Burnett Economy.
Why we're here ...
BIEDO responds to a need or an opportunity that will improve the economic and social renewal of the Burnett Inland. We are a regional organisation delivering into every community and district in the Inland, no matter how small or remote. We are focused on practical problem solving such as lack of community transport, mental health issues and business support. We are a "catalyst" for making things happen.
See the quick links below to find out more about our key projects and services.
Do you need support for your business? The Business Pilots can help 'guide' your business through start-up, growth, downsizing or close.
Since 2007, BIEDO has been working with the community to tackle social health issues including stress, depression and suicide. The project includes the popular Women's Wellness Days which are being held again across the Inland Burnett during 2012.
Does your community group, school, farm, business or agency need help to find their way through the funding maze? Maybe the BIEDO “Grant Angels” can help!
Find out how your school or community can be involved in BIEDO's Community Permaculture Garden Project. It's a great way for students and the community to learn more about sustainability and have fun at the same time!
You can help us achieve workable solutions and actions for the Inland Burnett. Find out more about our "Action this Day" Peak Forums exploring topics such as transport, economic development & communications.
