Flood Recovery Event - Dallarnil

Last Wednesday, BIEDO Coordinated a Flood Recovery session event through our partnership with North Burnett Regional Council for residents and property owners who were affected by the January and February flooding events in Biggenden and Dallarnil.

This event saw over 30 members of the community attended attend and gain support from the various line up of agencies.

It's often in challenging times that we see enormous amounts of generosity by people from all walks of life. We would like to offer a warm shoutout to businesses and organisations who gave freely at this event:

🙏 #Coles Kensington who donated steak, sausages, bread rolls, sandwich and wrap platters, biscuits and cakes, soft drink, tea, coffee, milk and water. They brought an insane amount of food and leftovers were given to attendees and the hall committee. They also bought gloves, paper towels and other items to stock up the Dallarnil Hall cupboard and gave the hall committee $200 in Coles vouchers to support any future community events. 🙏 IGA Childers donated pastries, custard tarts, pull-aparts and sweet buns for volunteers in attendance that helped with clean-up efforts. 🙏 Life Care Mundubbera Ltd Food Pantry donated 20 care packages. 🙏 LiveBetter QLD (Monto) donated food boxes and dignity bags. 🙏 The Dallarnil Sports Grounds waved the hire fees.

Thank you also to North Burnett Regional Council Councillors who also generously gave their time to attend this event in support of the community.
