Agritourism Workshop Information:

The Queensland Government is encouraging people with small to medium-sized farming businesses interested in agritourism to attend an agritourism development workshop.

Agritourism is growing in Queensland—providing farmers with alternate income streams and farm visitors with great moments, memories, and experiences.

There’s plenty to consider in bringing your idea to life, such as the type of experience you’ll offer—farm gate sales, pick-your-own fruit and veggies, animal interactions, farm-to-table dining, farmers markets, on-farm cooking classes, and farm tours.

In the facilitated one-day workshop:

•  You'll share and explore ideas, identify opportunities and barriers, and gain an understanding of your regulatory obligations.

•  The right people will be in the room to answer your questions and other successful agritourism farmers to share their experiences.

•  You'll leave the workshop with an understanding of what's required.

•  Your own 100-day plan with your next steps mapped out.

•  And new connections for shared experiences.

We acknowledge these are uncertain times and while we cannot foresee future COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions. Our intention is to proceed with a face-to-face event. However, we have plans in place if we need to run a virtual workshop.

The details for Bundaberg are as follows:

Bundaberg Agritourism Workshop Thursday 17 March 2022 8:30am-3:30pm Rowers on the River, Bundaberg.
