Do you need someone to help you get your business idea off the ground? Are you looking to expand and need good advice or a sounding board? Do you need brochures, business plans or help with BAS? Do you want to be a member of a vibrant and informative Business Network? BIEDO can provide these services through its newly revamped “Business Services” program.
Linda Silburn, CEO of BIEDO says BIEDO now has a Business Team with two ‘Business Pilots’ a Business Admin Angel, a Clean and Clever Business Co-ordinator, and a Media and Promotion Team. She says the first hour with a Business Team Member is totally free, whether over the phone or face to face.
"By the end of that hour, we may have resolved your problem, provided information or a referral or worked out exactly what kind of assistance a business will need. The Team can provide recommendations for further assistance and a quote,” Linda said.
“Another brand new part of the program includes a ‘Business Membership’ which will provide Business modules, on-line access to the BIEDO Business Library (CD’s, DVD’s and books), informative newsletters, and specific resources such as useful tips, tools and web links,” she said.
“We are very excited to have six enthusiastic, Inland Burnett people who are ready and keen to help support our businesses,” Linda said.
“Trudi Bartlett from Kingaroy and Nathan McKean from Degilbo are Business Pilots who work one-on-one with business owners. They can assist with Business Plans and Tender Applications. Trudi has more than 15 years business experience and is passionate about transforming small businesses who are struggling, into a successful and efficient enterprise. Nathan has 17 years business experience in many sectors and specialises in marketing, branding, and corporate identity. Sharon Dowden is a Business Admin Angel who can come into your business to help you with BAS, financial, payroll systems and much more. Our Clean and Clever Business Co-ordinator, Tameka Gogerly, provides practical support in energy, water and waste management to assist businesses to reduce costs and increase profits. The Media Team provides media releases, copywriting and graphic design to assist businesses with brochures, media releases, and all kinds of promotional materials, including AGM reports and complex documents,” she said.
“The BIEDO Business Team is available to work with your business at every stage of the businesses 'life cycle' - whether it is to assist with start-up, growth, downsizing or closure. They are also available to help businesses through the long-term flood recovery process,” Linda said.
The aim of BIEDO Business Services is to provide a comprehensive one-stop service; offering practical business assistance, information, referrals to specialist expertise, and mentoring.
The business services provided by the Burnett Inland Economic Development Organisation are funded by the Australian Government.
