New Look Board for BIEDO

BIEDO has two new Board members following our AGM on Monday 14 February 2011.

Joining long-term Chairman, Cr David Carter and Vice-Chairman, Cr Paul Francis, is Penny Kennedy taking up the role of Treasurer and Andrew Bryant who will be the new BIEDO Secretary.

BIEDO Chairman David Carter said all of the Board members are business and community leaders who have demonstrated their commitment to the Burnett Inland in every aspect of their lives.

"We'd really like to welcome Andrew and Penny to our team. Joining Paul and I, they will form the new  Board  for 2011, providing a strong, dedicated, visionary leadership team for BIEDO," David said.

"The Board will meet on a face-to-face basis twice a year (once in the North Burnett and once in the South Burnett) and we'd encourage members and interested community representatives to also come along for these important meetings. We'll also communicate on a monthly basis."

He concluded, "I'd also like to sincerely thank our two outgoing Executive members, Loris Doessel of Mundubbera Community Development Association and Jenny Todd (formerly of Tarong Energy). Both Jenny and Loris (Secretary and Treasurer respectively) have given generously of their time and energy, and offered their leadership and expertise to BIEDO for more than five years."

The BIEDO Annual Report was also tabled and is now available to the community on our BIEDO website.
