reThink Business Waste Program - Right now, the Queensland Government is offering a $750 subsidy to eligible businesses to rethink their business waste. While there are 7334 subsidies available, half are available for businesses inside South East Queensland (SEQ) and half are available for businesses in regional Queensland to ensure that regional businesses get fair access to the RBWS Program.
While many companies are working hard to both minimise waste and recycle resources, Queensland produces an unsustainable amount of industry-generated waste every year, with only about one-third of recoverable resources being recycled. The State Government’s is introducing waste reforms to reduce the amount of industry-generated waste ending up in landfill by encouraging reuse, recycling and resource recovery. To bring Queensland into line with other mainland states in Australia, from 1 December 2011 new waste management legislation will include a levy payable by landfill operators who put waste in landfills within the levy zone.
QWESTNet (Queensland Water and Energy Sustainable Technology Network) hold forums that are designed to inform Qld businesses and industry on how savings can be achieved through sustainable practices and technologies. The networking sessions provide a chance to meet other businesses looking to incorporate 'green' practices or products, suppliers of sustainable solutions and experts currently working in the sustainability field.

Planet Ark Business Recycling - It can be difficult for a small business to find the reuse, recycling and waste services they need.
