BIEDO has a strong representative role to help the Burnett Inland be seen and heard. We help sectors, no matter how 'invisible', to state their case and we promote the endless potential & scope of a rural region to our urban counterparts. We build bridges through:
Advocacy - to ensure the inland receives appropriate services and resources
Building partnerships—between organisations (volunteer, commercial, government, non-government) to help share information and resources, collaborate on actions, gain critical mass and reduce gaps and duplication. If you want to be seen and heard these days, you have to be big enough that you can't be ignored. The scale and diversity of our stakeholders, partners and clients provides this critical mass. We believe partnerships enable action— and action is our focus
Rural problem-solving— We find innovative, practical ways to ensure that every community in the Inland has growth industries, viable businesses & reasonable access to health, education, employment, training, and other services. Our aim is always to create sustainable partnerships and sustainable solutions.
