A beautiful sunny winter's weekend encouraged more than 2,200 people to the "Schools Day" and the first ever Funky Futures Festival Open Day at Wondai on 11th and 12th June 2010. We were thrilled with the crowds and believe the days were a huge success. Thanks must got to sponsors the Qld Government through their Low Carbon Diet program, Tarong Energy, the South Burnett Regional Council, Arts Qld, BMRG, Go Green Generation, The South Burnett Times, Crow FM, Our Country FM and CFM and of course all our volunteers who helped on the day.
Festival Mission
Through ideas exchange, knowledge transfer, hands-on, interactive experience and FUN (!), the Funky Future Festival engaged families, householders, businesses, producers, local government and industry. The Festival stimulated curiosity, raised awareness, answered questions, and showed everyone, regardless of their age, background, industry or location, how they can make a real difference to the eco-sustainability of this region.
