Action this Day! Working together to find solutions for priority issues in the Inland Burnett
The Inland Burnett has many diverse groups, networks, departments, agencies, schools and individuals who have many skills to help build our communities capacity. To help bring these groups together, BIEDO has begun a series of "Action this Day! Peak Forums" to share ideas and identify ways to collaborate and better manage the Inland Burnett's future.
The Forums are proudly funded by the Queensland Government's Building Rural Communities Fund through Blueprint for the Bush. BIEDO's goal for 2011/12 is to bring government, non-government, industry & community together to work on real solutions for four priorities in the Inland Burnett:
- economic development
- transport,
- suicide management
- "Clean and Clever"- transitioning to a green Inland
Outcomes of each forum
- An action focused report on what we all can do to progress the priority topic being discussed
- Partnerships for action, arising from discussions and ideas exchange at the Forum.
- Individual actions that a business, school, employment agency, Regional Council, community service agency etc - can take home
- Further questions-on-notice: identifying what we need to know so that we can make informed decisions and turning them over the Ideas Hunters to research/chase down facts, solutions, case studies, etc'
